Our season has officially begun and we are learning as much as we can about lacrosse. Our new members have successfully picked up the game and we hope that they enjoy it. CSUSM Women's Lacrosse is looking forward to the Santa Barbara Shootout tournament on February 15-17th. The Shootout has a record breaking team attendance this year of 65 teams! We will be playing UNLV, Humboldt, USC B team, and San Jose State. For the past two years, San Jose has beat us by one goal. This year will be different; we look forward to playing the at the Shootout. If you are in the Santa Barbara area, come out to University of California, Santa Barbara or Santa Barbara City College to watch us play. You can find a list of the teams as well as the tournament schedule at this link: http://www.santabarbaratournaments.com/

I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer. If you're a full-time student who is interested in playing lacrosse, come to our tryouts on September 18th and 20th on the Multipurpose Field at 7AM-9AM. There is no experience necessary. We love new people and we are excited to teach anyone how to play lacrosse. We will explain more about the season during tryouts OR you can come to the Student Org. Fair on September 4th at noon to ask any questions. You can also email Amanda Gonzales at firstname.lastname@example.org. Hope to see you soon!

Our season is complete. We finished 3rd place in our Conference and 4th in our league. We have grown so much from last year and we can only hope we can improve from here.
Congratulations to those who will be graduating. The graduates include Christine Magill, Priscilla Barnes, and Becky Livermore. Christine Magill was the one who made all of this possible. She created the Women's Lacrosse club back in 2010 and she has brought this team a long way. Christine has earned First Team All League for her second year in a row.
We're coming back next year with hopes to make it into the playoffs. Thank you for all your support this year.

We just got back from our Santa Barbara Shootout Tournament and we came home with two wins. We played Chico State (lost 4-16), San Jose State (lost 10-11), Humboldt State (won 15-3), and Santa Barbara City College (won 14-13). Each team we faced gave us a great game and we learned a lot in Santa Barbara. It was a great bonding experience for all of us.
Yesterday, February 25th, we played Biola and won 16-6. As we continue to play and learn about each other, we are getting better at playing as a team.
For more stats about our games and other teams in our Conference, you can click on the WCLA Division II Standings tab above.
Our new treasurer, Emily Snow, will be arranging a fundraiser for us very soon. We will keep everyone posted.

The start of a new year, means the start to our Spring season. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Liz Veselich, who will be studying abroad in Amsterdam for six months. Good luck Liz!
February 5th will be our first game of the season, as well as our first home game for the season of 2012. We will be playing UNLV at 11:00 AM on Mangrum Field. The school does not provide bleachers or seats for the fans, so if you wish to sit, please bring lawn chairs. We hope to see you there

This week, we have ordered our spirit wear through Adidas. We would like to thank Team Sports of North County, Jeanne Fletes, and Ashlye Fletes for their tremendous work with our design. We are hoping to get our spirit wear during Winter break, which is around January 12 or so. We will be back on campus sporting our new spirit wear and welcoming the new year.

As the fall begins, so does our pre-season. This year, we have 25 players on our roster; 9 returners from last year and 16 new players. We have already created a strong team bond. Since the majority of our team is new we are starting fresh with new faces and perspectives on the game. In addition to new players, we also acquired a new coach; Conny Joel. We sincerely appreciate the hard work and effort she has put into our team, and we are excited to see where she will lead our team. We are excited to start the new year with our pre-season. Our fall pre-season will consist of practices on Tuesdays mornings, and conditioning on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. We have a few fundraising events coming up soon, so stay tuned for updates. We are all very excited to spend some time with each other and expand our program at CSUSM. Keep an eye out for our fliers advertising our fundraisers! Support Women’s Lacrosse!
